As part of their response to the Spirit within them, members of the parish are active in many areas of community life, such as:

• homelessness;

• prison visiting;

• credit union; and

• hospice work.

The parish sponsors the work of Zambuko House, which is a day centre and hostel for street children in Harare, Zimbabwe.

In addition a link is being forged with a poor area of Bangladesh, to offer assistance on a regular basis.

The Knights of St Columba are promoters of the Wells for Water scheme which aims to sink 3000 wells providing clean water in Africa in 1999.
