As part of their response to the Spirit within them, members of the parish are active in many areas of community life, such as:

• homelessness;

• prison visiting; and

• hospice work.

The parish sponsors the work of Zambuko House, which is a day centre and hostel for street children in Harare, Zimbabwe.

The current National Action Project of the Knights of St Columba is to raise funds for the charity Vision Aid Overseas.
670 million people - 10% of the world's population - are disadvantaged by poor vision and a lack of glasses.
Vision Aid Overseas is an international charity dedicated to transforming access to eyecare services in developing countries.
