Ecumenism
The Parish recognises the importance of developing its relationships with Christian and other Faiths and the local community in general.
We participate in the Churches Together in Hemel Hempstead organisation which itself promotes a strong ecumenical presence in the town
We support the work of the Mustard Seed Christian Book Shop with one of our parishioners being the joint manager and two others working as volunteers in the shop
Our parishioners are particularly involved with the running of and support for the shelter and day centre for the homeless: Dacorum Emergency Night Shelter (D.E.N.S.)
Members of the parish join with other Churches and organisations in the Good Friday Procession of Witness, a very visual event in the town centre
We support Pray Hemel - a monthly (first Saturday morning of the month) group which meets at a different Church each month to pray for the town and community and to get to know each other better
In 2003 our parish hosted a major ecumenical event: the Pentecost Celebration, on 'the Moor' (i.e. Boxmoor)
We provide hospital visitors and the Knights of St Columba and the Catholic Women's League are regularly involved in community activities
Our parish centre is very popular and well used by various groups within the local community
We welcome new opportunities to increase our involvement with ecumenical activities in the area
